GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD
ECOLOGY & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Data Capturers

(freelance position)

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile-processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria.

We are in a process of automating our data extraction from incoming documents and are looking for determined freelancers to support the data manager in this exciting project.

Dedicated, self-driven individuals with strong attention to detail who are eager to learn new methods and capable of understanding our processes, are urged to apply. The position is 100% remote with no limitation to geographic location of candidates, however reliable internet access is required.

The focus will be on, but is not limited to, labelling data in documents, and thus implicitly teaching our AI (Artificial Intelligence) models where to look for certain data. As the AI evolves, so will the data capturers’ tasks.

Training will be provided to successful candidates.

Start Date: At the earliest.

Applicants should match the following profile:

  • Ability to execute instructions reliably and down to the detail
  • A curious mindset and general interest in new technologies: No previous AI-specific knowledge is required, but applicants should be computer-literate.
  • Hands-on experience in data capturing projects is considered an asset, but students or junior candidates are also welcomed to apply
  • Intermediate language skills in English, CEFRL level B1 (see self-assessment grid)
  • Systematic and logical style of working and thinking
  • Knack for detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on one's own: self-motivating, self-guiding, self-structuring
  • Willingness to work 100% remotely. We do not have offices.

If you meet above criteria and are interested in the position, please email your application to Katrin Khoza: by 15th June 2022.
