Head of Marketing (full-time, home office)

Location: Europe

Report to: GOTS Managing Director

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria.

We are a non-profit organisation and are looking for a Head of Marketing who will operate from home with occasional travel.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Further development and execution of GOTS Marketing Strategy
• Development of marketing material
• Website content coordination and maintenance
• Draft content (e.g. press releases) for media or website
• Social media management
• GOTS Newsletter – content and coordination
• Media monitoring
• Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
• Support at fairs
• Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
• Coordinate with marketing professionals
• Perform “damage control” in cases of bad publicity
• Assist in communication of strategies or messages from management

 Your qualifications and experience:

• Proven long term experience in Marketing and PR for NGOs
• Degree in marketing, public relations, communication or relevant field
• Experience in copywriting, editing and crisis communication
• Solid understanding of project management principles
• Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and intrapersonal skills
• Experience in web design and content production is a plus
• Fluent English and German required, knowledge of other European languages is a plus
• Ability to work independently with a remote team worldwide
• Willingness to travel
