A peer-reviewed publication of the long term trial on system comparisons of the cotton rotation in India published in the online journal Plos One can be viewed online and is available for download. The results of this study show that organic soybean productivity can be similarly high as in conventional systems at lower input levels, which can make organic soybean production - as part of cotton-based crop rotations - more profitable.
GOTS also focussed on many proven benefits of organic cotton in the joint GOTS and Soil Association campaign "Have you Cottoned On Yet".
